Ultrasonic Instruments
Ultrasonic instrumentation is used routinely in our office during both surgical and non-surgical endodontic treatment. This instrument utilizes the oscillations of a piezoelectric crystal to activate a cutting tip, which is used to precisely remove tooth structure. Ultrasonic tips come in a range of shapes for specific purposes; common to all of the tips is their small size which provides your endodontist with dramatically increased control and precision during treatment. Ultrasonic instrumentation, along with the surgical operating microscope, has literally revolutionized endodontic treatment.
